Longhorn TIES (Transition, Illuminate, Empower, Success) coordinates and facilitates autism and neurodiversity initiatives at the University of Texas at Austin. Longhorn TIES provides one-on-one support for admitted or currently enrolled students with autism and/or ADHD through TIESplus and drop-in services. All services are provided by trained, specialized coaches who provide individualized support related to executive functioning, time management and organization, social communication and independent living. Project SEARCH @ Ascension Seton

Project SEARCH at Ascension Texas is an innovative best practice for preparing and training young adults with intellectual disabilities for the competitive workforce. Through a yearlong internship, Project SEARCH offers each participant the opportunity to develop their vocational skills in a business setting, while building a solid foundation of professional experience. Initially implemented in the fall of 2007, Project SEARCH at Ascension Texas was the first of its kind in the State. It is supported by a unique collaboration among business, education, rehabilitation and disability service providers. This innovative model was originally developed at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and has been replicated in nearly 800 organizations in the U.S. and worldwide. Project SEARCH at Ascension Texas is currently operating at 4 Seton sites – Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas, Ascension Seton Medical Center Williamson, Ascension Seton Medical Center Hays, and Ascension Seton Northwest.
